Shop Therapy And Pedicures

Today was my scheduled day off and I spent it doing a little shopping for the kiddos... They needed some summer clothes... It was fun to get out and just have fun doing what I like to do... I enjoyed another quiet day at home.. The girls were good today.... Hannah did well on her spelling and reading tests... When Dave and the girls got home we went to Jordan's BBQ to eat. Hayleigh wanted ribs.... That girl is crazy!! We then went on to Sonic for shakes....Now we are home just sitting around watching T.V.... I picked up some nail polish and stickers today so me and the girls could do pedicures tonight. They really enjoyed getting all gussied up. Here are a few pics of the end results. Not to shabby if I do say so myself... Tomorrow is back to work for me and because of Swine Flu Panic, I'm not looking forward to it........Some people..... Quiet Day At Home

Today was better....The girls went to school and I stayed home today to reflect on what happened yesterday... I just wasn't ready to go back to work and see everyone... I'm almost there but not just yet.... Just need one more day..... It was a quiet day at home... I got some cleaning and laundry done today.... Called my mom and NaNa to check on them... They both are doing much better today too... I actually slept last night for the first time since all this happened.. My Nana gave me a ring she had made with diamonds from her first wedding band and my mom's first wedding band when I got married... I've had if for awhile, but never got to wear it because it was broke.. Last week I took to to get it fixed and got it back today... It's beautiful!! I can't wait to wear if for special occasions... And how very special it is now!! I'm proud to have it and can't wait to pass it on to Hannah when she gets married... There is no other ring out there in the world like mine.. How cool is that!!! We had TaMolly's for supper and Dave and Hannah just ran up to the ball field to pick up next months schedule of games... Hayleigh is painting my toenails as I type.. I know they look marvelous!!! Ha... Anyways, tomorrow is my scheduled day off and I have a couple of plans.. Not many.... Goodnight....

Let The Healing Begin

Today was the hardest day in my life up to this point... I buried my PaPaw today..... I'm so glad it's over, but I'm still dealing with alot.... A relief has gone over me and some peace today... I know where Pop is.... He's in Heaven and he's with his Mom and Dad.... I know that he will be watching his girls from time to time making sure we are doing right.... The funeral was packed and I know now how many lives my Pop touched.... He really was a loved man....And I find comfort in knowing that....I know that only time will heal the pain and make it better, but today has started that healing process that I so desperately need right now.... I know that my family will be okay, and that is what matters... I'm ready to get home now and hug my kids tight and thank the Lord that I have such a great family..... And my Pop will always be a part of that no matter what...... Thanks for all of the loving words and thoughts and prayers for our family in our time of need.... I love all of you guys..... Goodnight

Dirt Diamonds Vs. Lil Crushers

Today was better... I'm having to take this horrible time in my life day by day... That's all I know how to do... I have to adjust to not having Pop around and it'd not going to be easy for me... I'm more at peace with it today and I know that it will get easier as time goes by... It's starting to seem more real now, not a dream.... We are going to his funeral tomorrow at 2pm and I can tell you I'm not looking forward to it at all... I'll be glad when it's over and the healing can start... I'm sure Wednesday will be a hard day of reality too... Anyways, on a different note, the girls went to school today and had good ones.... Hannah had a make up game tonight with the Lil Crushers and lost 5-14... They are a way better team than us, but that's okay... We'll get them next time..I didn't feel like chasing Hayleigh around the ballpark tonight so we stayed home.... She was still bad........ I hate that I missed her game, but I won't miss anymore.... Hope everyone has a good night....

A Sad Day For Our Family

I got the shock of my life Saturday morning.. My mom called and said that my PaPaw J.C. had died.. He was fine when he got up that morning, but my NaNa found him later in his favorite chair with the t.v. remote still in his hand... I have to ask WHY? Why this way? Why did no one have a chance to say goodbye? I hate if for me, but I really hate it for my girls.. He loved those girls soooo much... And he was so proud of Hannah and her softball.. He was even planning a trip up here next weekend to watch her play in a tournament.. I guess he'll be watching, just in a different way.... I don't know how to feel right now.. I've cried so much since yesterday, I don't know if I have any more tears left... His funeral is on Tuesday at 2pm in Locust Bayou.. I'm sure that there will be many, many people that will come to pay their respect... My pop was a very loved man... He was a godly man and I know that he is in heaven now, but I'm very selfish and want him back here with me and my girls.... I don't know when this feeling will get better, but I hope it is soon..... I'm not good with all of this, but I'm sure not most people are.... I love you Pop wherever you are now..... And I'm going to make sure that those girls alway remember what a wonderful PaPaw they had and how much he loved his girls.......

It's Friday!!!

It's been such a long week for some reason! I'm sooo glad that Friday is finally here.....Mom went home this morning, and we were sorry she couldn't stay longer.....Hannah and Hayleigh had a good day... When we go home from work, David decided to go ahead and mow the yard, so we let him have at it and me and the girls watched t.v. together... When he got done him and Hannah went to pick up supper (McDonald's)... We sat down and ate and then we had our baths... It's early to bed for us tonight.. My tooth is still bothering me, so I can't wait to lay my head down on the pillow... We were going out of town for the weekend but decided to stay home instead... Tomorrow is Jack's birthday party, so we'll go over to Shanna and Dale's for a little while in the afternoon... That will be fun!! Hope everyone has a great weekend...... Sorry we are sooo boring sometimes!! HaHa!

Glad Today Is Over!

Boy, I'm I glad today is over!! It was sooo busy at work today for some reason.... Everybody had weird stuff going on.... Mom checked Hannah out early from school because she had a derm appointment.. She had to get 2 more warts burned off... I hope this is it with her!! My goodness!! She did real well today though...Hayleigh had a good day in Pooh Bears... They had stretch and grow.... She loves that!! Mom went ahead and picked Hayleigh up from school because David went to the auctions with Channon Mills a friend of ours... He's always wanted to go so he was excited... We are now cooking supper (Tator Tot Casserole) and the girls are playing with the newly charged Nintendo DS.... Hannah is sooo happy that she finally found the long lost DS.... And Hayleigh is running around with a fake phone talking to Betty Trash (Aunt Betty) telling her she better answer her!! It's tooo funny!!! Another night with nothing to do, and I'm loving it!! Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!! NO plans and I'm happy about that!!!!! Here are a couple of pics of Hannah in her new outfit this morning at the top of the post.....

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!!! I hope everyone has gone green today!! Good day at work.... The girls had a good day too.... Mom came in around 1pm and is going to stay with us a few days!! The girls couldn't wait to see her and is glad she is here!! When I got home from work, Dave was cooking pork chops!! Yum, Yum... We had mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, and mac and cheese! After that me and mom went over to Target to get Hayleigh a matching shirt like Hannah's... We also picked up a few things.... When we got back, Uncle Chase came over to visit for a little while... He got a new truck! It's really cool! We now are watching American Idol and seeing who got kicked off. It was Anoop and Lil tonight!! Only five more to go...... I can't wait to see who wins.... Anyways, it was nice to not have anything to do tonight for a change..... We don't play softball again until Monday night!! Goodnight! Oh Yeah, and don't forget to recycle!!!

Dirt Diamonds Vs. The Heartbreakers

Today was a good day back at work... Hayleigh is enjoying her new Pooh Bear class and Mrs. Angie... Hannah is having a great week of school... David got off work a little early and picked up the girls.. He brought Hayleigh up to my work, and him and Hannah went on to the softball field because they had team pictures at 5pm... As soon as I got off me and Hayleigh went on to the field and watched them practice some and we stayed for some of the game... I haven't been feeling well today with my tooth, so I had all I could stand and me and Hayleigh left a little early.. I was just informed from Dave that I missed my Hannah's first home run!!!!! Now I'm mad.... I knew if I left that I'd miss something!!! Never again!!!!! They ended up winning 7-3! Go Dirt Diamonds!!!! We have such a great little team this year!!!! Dave and Hannah are picking up supper and are on their way home.... Soon it will be baths and bedtime... I can't wait!!! No plans for tomorrow!! And I'm sooooo happy!!!!

Hayleigh's First Day As A Pooh Bear!

Today Hayleigh moved up from the 2's to the Pooh Bear class room!! She was sooo excited this morning... Me and Dave both took her to class... She got to go eat her breakfast in the big room and then went to start her day with her new classmates and new teacher Mrs. Angie!! I think she is really going to like it in there... They even get a bigger playground.... Hannah is excited because she can see Hayleigh over the fence now when she in on her playground!! I wish my day was as exciting but I had to have a root canal this morning and it took forever to fix!! I'm hurting sooo bad right now since the numbness has wore off.... My face is swollen too... But no rest for the weary! Hannah had a game at 6pm in Sardis, so when Dave and the girls got home from school we had to hurry and get dressed and off we went.... They played hard tonight and won their game against the Lady Movers 9-3!!! Hannah made another double play!!! She is getting good about getting in front of the ball and catching them in the air now!!! My heart was proud... She really is a good little player!! She also hit everytime she was up to bat tonight!!!! Back to work tomorrow and we have another game against the Heartbreakers in Bryant... Then we are OFF from softball the rest of the week!!! Thank goodness!!!! Well, off to bed... Goodnight

We Won 1st Place:Bryant Classic~

We did it!!! We won first place in the lower bracket of the Bryant Classic!! I'm sooo proud of our girls.... They came out to play today!!! We played the Heartbreakers and won 8-2.. Hannah did real good tagging runners out and also hitting the ball today.. She got tagged out herself on 3rd base, but she tried her best.... MiMi and PaPaw came up to watch and enjoyed the game.. Hayleigh actually let me watch the game this time!! After the game we went to TaMolly's to eat and then we stopped and got a shake at Sonic.. Now the girls are in their room watching T.V. and me and Dave are doing the same... Back to the bump and grind tomorrow.. I'm off tomorrow, and have to go to the dentist! Yuck.... We have another game tomorrow night at 6pm in Sardis and we play the team Sardis..... We are eating, sleeping and breathing softball right now!!!!!!!

The Bryant Classic

Today started out early at the Work house.. None of us could sleep in late in anticipation for the softball tournament games today... The rain held off long enough for us to get 2 games in... We played our first game at 9am and lost to the Benton Panther Cubs 5-10.. I was sooo proud of our girls in that game though... The Cubs are a 2nd year team and one of the best in the conference.. And they didn't spank us!!! We held our on....My Hannah made a double play in that game too!! She caught a pop fly (in the air) something she's never done before, and ran to first base to get the other runner out too!!!!! I've never been so proud of someone in my whole life!!! I was the loudest out there when that happened..... They goofed up the line-up and forgot to put Hannah on it, so she had to bat last and only got to hit one time in that game, but she made it count....Hayleigh was being a toot, so we went home after that game and Dave and Hannah went back up there to watch a few games until their next one.... They then played the LadyBugs again at noon... We got our revenge from last night and whooped them 9-3!!!! After that the games got rained out, so we will meet the Heartbreakers for the lower championship game tomorrow at 3pm.... Go Dirt Diamonds!!!!! Our girls have played sooo good!!! So the worst we can do is 2nd place, and that ain't too shabby in my book!! When Hannah and Dave got home we took some naps and then got up and went over to Dale and Shanna's so the kids could play together... I showed Shanna how to GIMP now, so she will be designing real soon!!! We had pizza for supper and now are home and have had our baths and are getting ready for bed... I know one little girl who is TIRED!!!! Goodnight...

Crawfish And Softball!! What A Day

Today was another good one.... Work wasn't bad at all.. Me and Shanna went to Treadway on our lunch break to go eat crawfish... David does an annual crawfish boil for his customers and it's always a big hit!! After work we rushed home just in time to get dressed for our first game of our softball tournament that started tonight.... Our first game was at 6pm and we lost 7-8 to the Lady Bugs, but we should have had that game won... Bad umping and girls who didn't want to be there were the cause of that lose... We should have whooped them something awful, but oh well... We then had to turn around and play another game on the other field... We got a second wind and beat the Haskell Ladybugs 7-0!! Go Dirt Diamonds!!! Hannah did awesome in both games.. In the first game she even made a dive to third base so she didn't get out!!! And she hit everytime she batted tonight!! In the second game she tagged 2 runners out!! I think she may have found her niche!! She really is good at softball and loves it that much too!!! I'm soooo proud of her and all of the girls.. If we don't get rained out tomorrow we have to play the Panther Cubs at 9am... I think me and Hayleigh are going to sit the early game out and go later on..... Batting Cages

Today was another good one!! Work went well....Hannah and Hayleigh had good days.... Hayleigh started out rough this morning.. It was a fight from the git go.. She got mad at me the first time because she didn't want to turn the T.V. off so we could leave for school... And then when we got to school she wouldn't walk down the hall, so I had to carry her kicking and screaming!! And when I went to pull away, all I could see was her little face in the window crying for her mommy!! I just melted then and there!! It was sooo hard to pull away!! That girl has got me right where she wants me!! I admit it!!! After work I went and picked the girls up and went home.... Dave went and got supper ( McDonald's) and we ate and finished last minute homework..And then off to the Batting cages we went!! It was soooo awesome!! They had the screens that showed actual girls fast pitching and the ball would shoot out from the screen!!! The girls practiced for awhile and then we came home... We've had our baths and are now getting ready for bed.. We have a softball tournament that starts tomorrow night.. We will play at least 2 games and then I don't know how many on Saturday... Goodnight!

Another Hump Day!

Today's another Hump Day!! We are half way through the week!! Yeah!! I can't wait for the weekend already.. Work was good.. We were a little busier today!! Had lunch with some friends at TaMolley's... Sooo Good.... The girls had a good day... I went to pick the girls up after work and they told me that they are going to move Hayleigh up to the 3 yr old class next week!! They know she is more than ready!! She's gonna be a Pooh Bear!!! My little girl is growing up sooo fast! She said she didn't want to be a Pooh Bear!! HaHa!! Hannah has hitting practice at the ball cages tomorrow with a couple other girls... That will be fun.... We had fish sticks and carrots and peas for supper.. Yum, Yum.... Now we are sitting around watching our nightly shows.. Nothing much else to report..... Dirt Diamonds Vs. High Maintanence

Well, we all had a great day today... Back to work for me... David got a call this morning that a raccoon was in his building.. Hope they caught it!! HaHa! We got home from work and came to get dressed for our softball game tonight... We had a game at 7pm and had to drive to Salem for it... The girls were awesome tonight!!! Hannah hit every time she was up to bat... And she tagged some runners out!! I'm so proud of my girl!! All the girls did so good!! We won 12-3. We don't have another game until the weekend, so we have a little break.... Hayleigh has started coughing again tonight, and I hate the way it sounds.... The last time she started this cough we had Pneumonia.... So, I'm gonna have to keep an eye on her for the next few days... Anyways, hope everyone has a good night... I'm mad because I forgot to record American Idol.... MAN!!!!!

Good Day At Home

Today was a good day at home... The girls went to school and daycare... I stayed at home by myself today and did a little work around the house... We were supposed to have a softball game tonight, but we got rained out... We are all disappointed..... So instead we are sitting around here bored... Hayleigh is running around with a bicycle helmet on her head, and Hannah is playing with her leap frog game.... We had chili mac for supper and now are sitting here watching T.V.. It will soon be baths and bed time!! Here is what I've been working on with GIMP... I've made a couple of invitations and thank you cards... Here they are... Tell me what you think!

Happy Easter! He Has Risen!

What a wonderful feeling to know that we serve a living God! I know I'm thankful for that in so many ways.. How lucky we are..... And to reflect on all of the blessings he has given us.... We have had a great Easter Day... We have spent it with our kids and have enjoyed every minute of it.. We got up extra early this morning so we would have time to open Easter baskets and get everyone extra pretty for pictures before church.. We got to church this morning just before the roof fell out of the sky!!! And BOY did it rain!! And it's been raining ever since.... Good thing we had our Easter egg hunt yesterday.... We got home from church and had pot roast.. Yummy,yummy!! And some sheet cake that David made last night... Then it was the perfect afternoon for a nap, so that's exactly what we did... We are now watching the Masters on T.V. and the girls are playing with their new playdo that MiMi and Papaw got them.....Won't do much else today,but we sure are enjoying it..... Life is good...... Happy Easter!

Easter Morning!

Well, this is just a quick post on Easter Morning! We just gave the girls their baskets, and they were very surprised! We now have to get ready for church, and I will have more pics of the girls in their Easter best...... I hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday!!!
